I mostly rely on TCGPlayer for researching the checklists. As a tip, a lot of the easy to miss cards can be found if you filter on these sets:

16:08 It’s possible that the black and white era had less Pikachu cards because it was intentionally excluded from being obtainable in the games (outside of poke transporter or events).
Love the collection! There is also a base set Pikachu with a Bulbasaur emblem. I believed it came from a Bulbasaur Starter Deck. I have the card in my collection (because I’m a fan of Bulbasaur)

I mean, if you think about, all the Gen 1 cards he pulls in the Last Chance section could still go towards future sets, so it's not as bad of a loss as it seems! (But still not great since most of them are commons lol, but, hey, silver lining and all that haha)

PS: separate video for non-english Pikachus ? YES, I would love to see that ! Ponchos, Chinese exclusive ones, etc. Pikachu Illustrator's auction is ending very soon – would be great to include the info on how much it sold for (despite a lot of controversy around that particular card – won't go any further into this)
