Before watching. Be sure to have the settings on Youtube at least up to 60 fps.

Of course it’s not as big of a jump from the wii u to switch, but it really does look like a huge difference for certain scenes. Big fan of how a lot of the bluring is cleared up with the enhancement.

  3. Seanspeed

Image quality boost is nice, but the higher framerate definitely helps with readability in combat, which can be difficult in these Xenoblade games at times.

It’s ”ok”. It looks a bit better. I can’t even imagine what word you’d use if the game looked even better since you already used ”stunning”.

    Lmao stunning

What pokemon graphics does to a fan.

  6. ninjablaze

This paid upgrade could have been an email.

  7. Cronus41

Wow did that bird have testicles on its neck??

  8. julesvr5

The fps boost definitely is noticeable side by side. 30fps looked very choppy

I have my cartridge but hearing that I still need to paid an extra 5€ lmao, XC2 and Torna really need that upgrade too.

  10. I, meanwhile, have yet to finish the original on Wii U… if I picked it up at this point, a decade later, would I even remember how the soul voice thing works, or what I’m meant to do with my Mira supply network? Should I just try to push through to credits? 😂

I think this video should have started out with gameplay instead of the cutscene. In gameplay the frame rate boost is VERY noticeable, especially after playing the game before the NS2E recently on switch 2.

  12. XTheProtagonistX

It’s a bare minimum update. Meaning you get paying 5 dollars for 60 fps upgrade and a resolution boost. Is that’s worth it? Depends on the person.

  13. PotholedSea40

Does Xenoblade 1 also have a Switch 2 upgrade?

  14. djmantis

I need to go back and give this game a second shot. I bounced out right before I was about to get the mech.

  15. goldblumspowerbook

Please do XC 2 and 3! Those are two of my favorite games of all time.

  16. Wraeclast66

its like a spot the difference game but you’re being gaslit and theres no actual difference

  17. It still has so. much. aliasing. Why not use DLSS now that they can? The game already has a (shitty) TAA, so they should have motion vectors, right? Unless I’m wrong and it’s still just FXAA or something …

  18. Psychedelicblues2

So just a guess but it probably renders at 1440p internally and runs at 60fps compared to the 1080p 30fps of the original Switch version which already was an upgrade over the Wii U’s 720p 30fps

  19. KingDorkFTC

Anyone know the file size of the update?

  20. Octorok385

Not gonna lie, my phone made all of these trailers and videos look virtually the same. When I actually played the update, I was very happy.

I guess it’s time for another file.

  21. Now please do Xeno 3. It’s pretty bad at portable on S2 with how low the resolution is.

  22. JRPG_Enjoyer

I mean, i guess, but I’m not double dipping for a FPS boost. We need new games for Switch 2. Enjoy for those who waited.

  23. HydraTower

It looks like they removed motion blur too

  24. AfterIssue6816

This is precisely why Nintendo wants to destroy Switch emulators.

  25. Christ, cutscenes at 60 FPS just look weird. Soap Opera Effect

  26. “Stunning (unless you plan to play in handheld mode).”

  27. CookiesFTA

Gotta love how the thumbnail they chose makes them look absolutely identical. They’rethesamepicture.gif

  28. It looks worse visual wise on handheld unfortunately compared to pre upgrade

  29. Squirt_Gun_Jelly

I guess we all have different definitions of “stunning.” lol

  30. rentiertrashpanda

It looks cool, but I have a question: is combat basically your entire party shouting at the same time? Because that’s kind of offputting

  31. LiberaMeFromHell

The fact that they are charging for this and couldn’t even be bothered to fix the pop-in, by far the number 1 performance/visual issue with the game is so disappointing. Nintendo’s greed this gen knows no bounds.
