I think the "Great CP boost" is DURING the mega, just like all the other bonuses are during the mega. Not like Best Buddy CP boost which is active while you have it as your buddy permanently.
So they took the concept of Max particle and shadow raid boss and fused it to make super mega raid 😂😂
After years of playing this game, I summed that the secret of enjoying it is to tone down the FOMO. You'll not be mad at niantic or put pressure on yourself to spend $ and time just to participate in events or getting full benefits. Have fun

NO MEGA ENERGY FOR REMOTE RAIDS
The link charges is an update and feature nobody asked for, nor wants. It definitely reeks of Scopely trying to get money back as fast as possible and saying screw the players, especially the players who are in less dense/rural areas. But because there are so many whales in this game, the feature will keep going on. So far the last few months have been, bad events, mixed in with scuffed spotlight raid hours, and major bugs for trading. The focus for them seems more $ focused than gameplay and fun focused, which is why I stopped playing years ago. Only reason I came back was they seemed to be on the up last year before the Max Finally event.
