We traveled to Tainan for the Kalos Event and are very unhappy to discover that the Egg-thusiast Add-on only gives 10km eggs if you buy the City Ticket. That is NOT listed anywhere on the website, every section just says it will be available during the entire event. We didn't buy the City Ticket for Friday since we wanted to just focus on walking and hatching, but the game refuses to give us 10km eggs. We've collected/hatched more that 50 eggs across our account and Niantic Support refused to recognize the issue. Only when we found other Trainers in a park were we able to learn that they are getting 10km eggs, but that's because they bought the City Ticket for Friday. This is such garbage, it never said you must have a City Ticket to get the eggs, they're just wanting to force people to buy another thing to get what the website promises.

This also happened last year for the Unova tour. I learned the hard way when I didn’t have the Friday citywide ticket and didn’t get a single 10k egg hahaha

I wish they’d let us discard eggs. In monsterhunternow we get driftstones to smelt that work like incubating eggs but we can discard the ones we don’t want. Why not here too?
Can anyone confirm what time you can start getting event eggs? If we start raiding at 7:00am Friday can we get event eggs? Or do we have to wait for 10:00am
OP, I am really confused by your post because from our experience with big tour/fest events, an add-on ticket is something that comes on TOP of the base ticket. If you don’t buy the Kalos Tour for Tainan ticket, this won’t work, right? I think it’s pretty much how it works, hence ‘add-on’. If someone doesn’t have the in-person ticket, they won’t have access to Kalos Tour event. I hope that makes sense.

UPDATE: At 3pm we noticed that they finally allowed us to get 10km Eggs. The 5km and 2km egg pool was also updated to the Event eggs. Although we are grateful we could finally get what we paid for, this proves that they had our Egg pool Turned Off for multiple hours today and Support was lying when they said everything was working correctly.
I’m a casual, mostly from home player. When did they start doing tickets that didn’t cover everything and you needed to buy add-on tickets?
