You need eight people I just got bodied because we only had seven Megas we literally had one and a half shields left and we just couldn’t do anything

Correction; you CAN remote raid them because I just did, but you're correct on not getting any mega energy. What a waste of link charges.

So in order to get Mega Dragonite all you had to was drop $30 for the regular in person ticket and then another $20 for the ad on Mega Nite. So $50 just to flex and be one of the first to have a mega Dragonite? That will eventually be an available for every one. No wonder Niantic/ scopely continues to nickel and dime us.
Still a lack luster event
Tera Raids are coming soon. For sure. This Super Mega Raid system is just a stealthy way to beta test the new currency, battle mechanics, while drawing the criticism towards Megas a feature most people have had already.
They are totally going to clone the mechanics from Super Mega Raids and reskin them for Tera Raids. Costing link Charges to enter, and having the same or similar shield system, as well as the system that pulls your Tera pokemon from your party to the front to attack shields.
They are well aware that dataminers leak new mechanics and features in advance and they figure this is the best stealthy way to use development time while not leaking the information 7 months in advance.
The development time to roll out Tera raids has mostly been completed, since the mega revamp system is just a live global beta test for Tera raids the real feature that this system was actually designed for.
They did not casually add data for the Tera Legendaries, Ruin, and paradox pokemon on a whim.
Every new Pokemon being Added is Paldean themed, They had Com days already for all 3 Paldean pokemon.
Several events for the last couple months have been focused around Paldea.
The precious paths season special research first featured the Paldean starters.
I'm telling you, the tera raid mechanics will be dropped much faster than the datamines from Max battles were because they could reskin the super mega raids mechanics in 3-4 weeks.
I'm betting heavily that Go Fest will be centered around Tera Raids, and new Megas will be dropped along with it. And both of those group contents will cost Link Charges or raid passes in person, and remoting them will cost both.
Oh yeah, garenteed Tera Blast and Ogrepons signature moves will deal 70% of level 3 Dynamax max moves, and Ogrepon's Signature Tera move will be 70% of level 3 G-max moves.
So Base Tera Blast will likely be 235-250 and Ogrepons Tera Signature will be 280-330. The main difference is you will be able to use those moves in any raids, and against grunts and won't be locked to only Tera Raids.
It's the biggest plan they have that will garentee content for the next 3 years.
AND they will allow Tera in PVP. It won't get the insane damage increase but it will change the pokemon's typing. You'll get one transformation per battle, and it will allow pokemon stuck with typings like normal, bug, rock, ice, to change their typing to become more relevant.
Coincidentally, they also reworked the combat mechanics for PVP to be a hybrid of real time and turn based. Tera transformations would not work properly with swapping in the old system, so they had to rework it. Basically it will make almost every filler mon comday relevant.
Can you get shiny Honedge from remote raiding? Or do I have to wait till next weekend?

I have two Dragonite 100% IV and several 98% IV. As well I have a Victreebel 98% IV and Malamar 98% IV. I have several excellent Dragonite as well shiny Dragonite. I just need the mega energy. I just level up 79 today and are working on level 80 extra requirements. I have 1,025 premium battle passes in my item storage.
