This is my biggest collecting challenge yet and it’s a lot harder because of these rules and because I’ve sold most of my bulk when I was younger.
My brother and I have decided to complete the entire National Dex (1–1025) in card form — but with strict rules:
Rules:
• Only 1 card per Pokémon
• Must be a “normal” card (holo/reverse is fine)
• No GX / EX / V / VMAX / VSTAR
• No Tag Team / Radiant / special mechanic cards
• No regional forms (Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, Paldean, etc.)
• No Mega / Primal / alternate forms
If there is a pokemon that is nog possible to get without bending these rules, then it is ok but it will have to be switched out if a “normal” one is released
Just one regular version of every Pokémon in National Dex order.
If you see a Galarian (or other regional) version or a card in another language in the binder, it’s only temporary until we find the correct standard version.
We’re organizing everything by Dex number and filling the gaps as we go.
Gen 1 is manageable… but later generations are going to be brutal.
