Naming every Pokemon from memory on pkmnquiz.com in 27 minutes in CHAOS MODE

A few days ago I made a post about my fastest time naming every Pokemon from memory (no shadows) on pkmnquiz.com in 34:47. After that, I wanted to try doing the same but in Chaos Mode, which means that there are no sections for each generation and the Pokemon don’t get listed in dex order. In Chaos Mode, they simply get put down in the order that you typed them.

This makes it much harder to see which Pokemon you’re missing, since there are no gaps in the list to check the context of the surrounding Pokemon. When I was trying this at first, I would finish listing all the Pokemon I could, but there would be like 3-10 spaces left, and I had NO idea what those could be.

And embarrassingly, many times I would miss a starter line or two, losing them in the massive list of Pokemon, so I made a different approach to listing them compared to the normal mode:

  1. Legendaries
  2. Starters
  3. Eeveelutions and Pika-clones
  4. Baby Pokemon + their lines
  5. Pokemon with no evolutions
  6. Pokemon that got evolutions from later generations
  7. Fossils
  8. Pseudos + dragon types
  9. Pokemon by type in the following order: fairy, ghost, dark, ice, steel, psychic, fighting, rock, ground, electric, fire, grass, bug, poison, water, flying, normal

And SOMEHOW, I got a SHORTER time than I did in the standard mode; like, 7 MINUTES SHORTER. 27:22 to be exact, compared to 34:47. I feel like I just got used to listing them in the order I wanted, and I didn’t have to worry about the gaps in the list.

Here’s there’s a link if you want to see the screenshots 🙂
