Pokemon Go

Forced to catch Beedrill

Ive been playing on a hatch only account for 3 years. I didnt know accepting the mega evolution prompt would force me to catch a beedrill to play my account again. If I force close the app I get a few seconds of gameplay before the beedril pops up. I guess that's how I have to play now.

If you go for a drive (as a passenger) and get above the speed limit for catching if might auto flee?

I didn’t know this was a thing. Was “Pokemon Caught” zero before that?

Wasn’t there an option to cancel the mega tutorial? I believe you’ll have to do that every time you log in however.

Just catch it then, what’s the big deal

I’d like to see your full stats. This is impressive getting to level 50+ with just hatching eggs. Do you do raids as well and just quit catching the boss? You get some XP by spinning Pokéstops but it’s not that much overall. You can’t even progress most of the research without catching.

  6. A couple of very new locals have the opposite problem.

When the Beedrill encounter poppoed up, they pressed ‘later’ a couple of times (excited to catch something new in the wild) and now Beedrill seems to be gone for good.

They were hoping to at least be seen to try to bring a mega to the battles at the weekend. There are no megas around for them to catch this week.

This is why I love Reddit, had no idea there would be someone out there playing the game while doing their best to not catch… All I can say is well played, I’m impressed !

I always thought a “catch only account” would be cool, but this is nice as well.

Do you have a list of all pokemon available to you? In 2019 I think you could hatch Unown but unfortunately I doubt it would happen again.
