Holding a funeral for my Bulbasaur buddy

My Bulbasaur who was my starter and buddy for over 2000 days accidentally was transferred in a freak accident. He was starred, named, and my buddy so even though it should have been impossible he was batch transfered and I got no prompt about it besides the one they normally give you.

Support sent me a useless pass in compensation as if that brings back 10 years of this little guy being my buddy.

    For a long time, I have been saying that the ‘favourite’ marker doesn’t work properly, and, in some cases, causes pokemon to disappear randomly.

    A couple of years ago, my local group stopped using favourite markers after losing a number of our best pokemon that had been favourited.

    Instead of favourite markers, we briefly buddy the pokemon (tummy tickle and photo) and in the future, whether buddied or not, it gives the prompt: ‘Are you sure you want to transfer this former buddy pokemon’. We haven’t lost any pokemon since we stopped using the favourite marker.

    If you want it to love on spiritually, you could evovle another bulbasaur into ivysaur and say it’s partially from the bulbasaur ~~you ground up into candy~~ transferred to the professor

    My only guess is it must have accidentally got unmarked patch or something… that really sucks

    Poor Bulba… asleep in his pokeball, not realizing he’s going to wake up in a cage inside some loud clinic, with hundreds of other wayward pokemon, “The Professor” banging on the cage, subjecting him to weird tests and painful experiments. I heard PETA shut down “The Professors” last 3 labs for cruel and unusual experimentation. Saw a photo of a Pikachu walking out with 3 eyes and no arms… poor thing, they had to put him down.
    He’ll just wake up like “where is daddy? where am I… oh no… hey that hurts!! nooooo”

    Jokes aside, that sucks. My game won’t allow me to trade starred pokemon. How the hell did that even happen?

    I traded my starter away thinking I could trade him back, my disappointment was immeasurable when I realized that wasn’t possible

    I’d be sad if I accidentally transfered my starter too. His name is Bert and he’s a Squirtle. I feel like he’s too special to buddy so I don’t really. I just keep him. But I love him so much.

    So sorry for you. I don’t have my starter at all. I don’t know if I transferred him or just never caught him.

    I don’t even remember the experience of catching him. I wasn’t that into the game when I first started in December and I was new to Pokemon so I didn’t even realize having starter mon was a thing in pogo. My first Pokemon I have in my inventory right now is a random Bidoof. I don’t even like Bidoof.

    Submit a ticket, and appeal the ai auto reject. There’s a chance they might fix it, and I say he’s worth that chance!
