This is just a common card, but to me it feels anything but ordinary. I’ve always loved it, and I really wanted to honor that feeling through this piece. Using gouache was a bit of a leap for me — I’m still learning — but I let myself enjoy the process and paint with emotion rather than perfection.
I truly hope that the love I have for this card comes through… and that you can feel it too. 💛
