I had this idea to post this on Pokemon Day, but I’m so hyped for the new Pokemon’s 30th anniversary and the new Muppet Show special that I thought I’d share it now. I took into account both main games and spin offs to make it more fun.
Here’s why I gave each Muppet each game:
Kermit/ LeafGreen: Obviously it has a green frog on the cover and he’s all about being green
Fozzie/ FireRed: Kermit and Fozzie are identical twins in The Great Muppet Caper, so if Kermit gets one version of the game, Fozzie should get the other
Miss Piggy/ Legends ZA: Miss Piggy loves all things Paris, so she’d love Lumiose City. And I think she’d really enjoy the trainer customization feature
Gonzo/ Legends Arceus: At the Game Awards Gonzo said that he liked Tears of the Kingdom, and this is the Pokemon game closest to that. Plus I think he’d enjoy a game where you put yourself in dangerous situations
Swedish Chef/ Cafe Mix: I think this one is self explanatory. But I also think he’d like playing SwSh and ScVi because they both have cooking features where you can make foods using random ingredients
Sam Eagle/ Black and White: Unova is based on America
Dr Teeth/ Smile: I think that even if he doesn’t want to be a dentist, he still likes to keep his teeth clean to look good for performances. Especially his golden one
Zoot/ Sleep and Snap: Zoot likes to sleep a lot and take pictures, as we see in Muppets Mayhem
Janice/ Mystery Dungeon and Art Academy: I think she’d like the concept of a game giving you a personality test and reading your aura to determine which Pokemon you’d be. Also, she gives off artistic vibes
Floyd/ Sword and Shield: Galar is England, he is based on John Lennon and his design is based on how the Beatles looked in the cover of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Also there are enough rock music themed Pokemon in the game to make a team based on a rock band (one of the Gen 8 mons is a bass guitar playing lizard). I feel any of the Mayhem band members could play this game, but I wanted to give them different options because they have personalities and hobbies outside of being musicians
Lips/ Gen 3 games: The games’ music uses a lot of trumpets, so he’d dig that. Also it’s a great game for someone who wants to save the world.
Animal/ Hey You Pikachu: I think he’d like the cute idea of interacting with Pikachu but then rage quit when the game stops doing what he says through the microphone
Rowlf/ Typing Adventure: In the 60s he used to promote type writers for IBM. And if he can play the piano he’d be a good typer
Statler and Waldorf/ Red Blue and Yellow: I think they’d be the type of people who like these games and then proceed to slam every game that came after them
Lew Zealand/ Magikarp Jump: He throws boomerang fish, so I think he’d like this game
Walter/ Go: I think he’d be more of a casual fan
Bunsen and Beaker/ Dream Radar: I think this one is pretty self explanatory
Robin/ Friends: I think he’d enjoy all the puzzle games and collecting the plushies. Perfect game for a kid his age.
Scooter/ All of them!: Out of all the Muppets, I feel he would be the biggest Pokemon fan.
I couldn’t really think of games for some characters like Pepe, Uncle Deadly and Rizzo, so I apologize for that.
