Many faced the issue with 5* dynamax raids, people used tanks in max phase and glass cannons for charging phase and many lost max raids for that reason. let's not repeat that in Super Mega raids…
At the very least follow these rules (People can chip in more from actual experience)
- Always have one mega evolved pokemon in party using to join raids (Everyone must already know this by now)
- DONOT KEEP your mega pokemon in slots 1 or 2. Try to keep it at position#6. Because your mega pokemon MUST be alive to contribute to shield damage and it will be auto pulled into battle when shields are deployed by the mega.
- DONOT use Primal Groudon/Primal Kyogre in Super mega raids, bringing them is like joining without a mega pokemon (Make sure to burn this into brain as we instinctively mega them)
Also, there's good chance everyone lose the raid even if there are 10 people in lobby and some forget to mega evolve or get his mega killed before shields come. so if you don't want to be one posting "Why is mega dragonite so hard to beat??", I insist you follow these 2 rules atleast.
Any more insights from anyone who already did the in-person raids?
