Mobapad M12 HD/ M12S Pre-orders open. shipping 30 April
Looks like they have changed the naming from “Pro” to “S”.
Still looks to be a bit of a mix for the options.

Not every switch 2 feature has been reverse engineered yet which is why the M12S is kinda “incomplete”

Thanks for the reminder. Ordered the HD, the bag and the charging grip. $126 before tariffs and whatever. Not a bad deal for what is going to be a superior controller.

I ordered the S model, as it apparently uses the native Switch 2 protocol for a physical connection and console wake-up. The lack of the 1st-generation HD Rumble on the S is a slight bummer, but better gyro with 9-axis (apparently uses a magnetometer for better stability) is more important to me than that or NFC. I already own the Mobapad M6 HDs (and the Switch 2 adapter for them) and absolutely loved them, so there’s really no reason to get the M12 HD for me, because it only offers TMR Glide sticks over the M6 HD’s feature set.
Excited to get my hands on these.

Why did they gimp the HD with 6-axis vs 9 axis. I feel like they went all out on it and that’s the one weird difference

When will they make symmetrical sticks like steam deck? Right stick is pretty much useless being down so low

Do you think they will make some carry case for it? This bag is too big. Otherwise, are there any alternatives available on the market? I know it might be hard to tell without trying it to fit in the first place…

These blow the Nyxi ones out of the water, Mobapad is top quality while Nyxi is more hit and miss, and there is also a huge price difference with the early pre order bonus.
I don’t even own Switch 2 yet, I am sitting here with my Switch Oled and my mobapad m6hd joy cons, working on my backlog.
By the time gen 10 Pokémon is released I hope Mobapad will have figured out a model with all the features of the official joy cons of Switch 2, so that I can buy it together with Switch 2.

What will be the main functional and performance differences between using the M12’s vs using the M6 HD’s connected via the C70 adapter? Are the M12’s inherently any better?
