It is the end of an era for the Pokémon TCG, and thanks to all of you we have completed every single Scarlet and Violet era master set! Let’s take advantage of that and recap the era, review, and rank every set. Which master set was your favorite? Also, side note. This is a new video style I’m trying out. Let me know how you like the “talking head” style content and if you have any suggestions I’m all ears!

Stellar Crown will always be ranked as the best Scarlet and Violet set for me. I know people hate it, but I'll die on that hill.
You have a really comforting and engaging voice. I will absolutely be watching more of your content
Shrouded fable for the win! Love that set! The lore is awesome.
Prismatic such a GOATED set that even though it has the worst pull rates its still got to be one of the greatest sets of all time along with 151.
bro what do u do for a living. this is so tufff!
like before youtube
Great overview for me as a
newcomer. My focus is on Japan sets battle partner and white flare (cheaper as black bolt) because of the beautiful ARs which are easy to pull. At least in white flare.
Do you like the art of the new mega dream ex set? These extreme colored Manga style and 3d like images are somehow crazy and overwhelming. And such a large set. One need a lot of money to collect this set. Do you think it flops or succeeds?
Not once did I ever have 151 available in my area when it released and I live in one of the largest cities in the country. I think I’ve opened maybe 2 mini tins of it since release hahaha 😅
Prismatic being hard to find and hard to pull to me is not a knock against it, it is the opposite. It’s the most sought after hyped set with some of the most sought after cards. I’d prefer that over high hit rates on illustration rares worth less than $2 which is just lame. Rarity and chase cards is what it’s all about. It’s the reason Noone cares about bulk. Prismatic #1
That was a pleasant way to start my morning, great video.
Absolutely love this video. I use it as a continuous reference point.
Sword and shield next? Please.
My favourite SV Sets are 1. Temporal Forces 2. Stellarcrown 3. Base 4. Obsidian Flames 😊 Soooo good for me! 😂😂😂 5. Is Destined Rivals and 6. 151
Crazy to see Twilight Masquerade so low. Definitely my favorite set from the era, it's got that hot summer nights/festival feel which matches the DLC perfectly. The art rares in the set are definitely my favorite of the era too..
Prismatic evolution?!?!?!?!!? Ive never even seen a pack in real like do they exist 😂😂😂
Prismatic should be 16. Horrible horrible set
As someone who's trying to keep track of what's happening in the pokemon tcg world, this video is amazing. The pacing is perfect for actually registering all the info, and the discussions on sets themes and their respective market "contexts" are very interesting. And obviously getting to see all these cards nicely put together is wonderful. Thank you for your service
Where does phantasmal flames fit in?
151 is the first set of Pokemon I ever got into. I did the base set 1-165 but did not collect the extras : } I am still satisfied. I might poster the set up in a frame
151 is overhyped and I have had terrible luck with the set and the IR's are kinda boring. Only the SIR's are interesting
I hope I don’t get a lot of hate for this but I’m a 12 year old and I’ve been collecting since I was 5 and I have to say scarlet and violet base is my favourite set
Good job breaking everything down!
100% agree on 151 being the top master set! When you said, "My only nitpick of 151 is…", I literally said the words in unison with you – "there should have been a Gengar". lol GREAT VIDEO
I'm so happy Paradox rift got some form of recognition!! It was my first masterset, and almost every art rare/sir is utterly gorgeous. One that still makes me smile to this day is the Iron Hands SIR, who as found a new hobby: running through walls! Great video, hope to see more of them!
As somebody who has been more into the video games than the TCG my entire life, who has just started to dabble more in the TCG for the first time since the BW era, I have a hard time sympathizing with the overall excitement and energy toward 151. While it may be a "love letter" to gen 1, I have always felt like the pokemon company has shoved gen 1 nostalgia down our throats relentlessly since the beginning of the franchise. In my opinion gen 1 has some of the weakest and most uninteresting character designs and the kanto region is so one dimensional and boring. The hype surrounding gen 1 in the TCG makes me question whether the people who participate in this community are actually Pokemon fans in the way that I have always viewed & defined Pokemon fans for the last 25+ years. Being more involved in it has definitely given me a new perspective on the Pokemon community as an entire whole and made me appreciate the things I value in Pokemon. That being said, Black Bolt and White Flare are easily my favorite sets of the SV era.
Bro every1 is on about 151 being so great and I think it’s absolutely beautiful, but I have actual horrible luck ripping it. On release i opened 3 tens ripping LITERALLY ONE regular ex 🥲
I started watching the video out of curiosity, but I stayed because it's so relaxing to hear you talk.
Also shroudle fable on top 9 makes me happy!
B&W crazily too high haha Otherwise decent list!
Do you happen to have a list of all the extra cards that are in Paradox Rift? I am master setting it and I have a list but I'm worried I'm missing some.
Love your video but waht do you think is the best set to do before tehy stop making them
As I'm just getting back into the hobby to collect it hurts my soul seeing those old pics of 151 just not being sold on shelves. It really saddens me the times were in right now with card collecting. I'd love to open some 151 at some point. lol
Surely this must have cost a small fortune to accomplish. Very impressive. I guess you only live once. Let me just live vicariously though you. However ratings on this are just awful. You need more categories to consider such as collectability or quality of the chase. I would prefer a set with one super chase card over a set that was fun to open but had no personal or financial value any day. There was so many times i passed on Shrouded Fable even under msrp. Shrouded fable's experience and community score should have been far less. I don't understand how that beat Twilight masquerade. I would enjoy to see new points considered and the video reimagined.
Great video man
How do you get the sv on the binder for the sets that they didn’t release a binder for? Tha ks
Bro, you forgot to say the date of each of them. So that we know the order of release.
I hope The Pokemon Company comes out with a Johto set. My favorite starter, cyndaquil, is in it.
Journey is so good to master set. The most expensive card is the clefairy and it’s not even that bad.
4 months later and Destined Rivals and 151 are absolutely cooked. I am very new to the hobby and close to master setting Journey Togther. However, everything I see regarding pricing, availability, and culture is insanely depressing.
