Just RNG, sometimes it’s more of the hourly mon.
Many people will prefer only the new ones – depends if you’ve already done the hourly mega

None of these new megas have even spawned at all for me since they released I’m in nz

My area has 9 gyms half are ex gyms to boot in case it mattered. From 6am-6pm there was not one, not one, super Megas raid. At one point there was 8 Yveltal and a Pikachu. Normal Megas were rare except Scizor which had the most, 5, in it’s hour.

The way they handled the raids this event was really bad. So diluted. Basically meant everyone going for something specific lost out or had a frustrating time
