I could see its fully evolved form being a Water/Poison-type. In fact, it is worth noting that the Komodo Dragon is the largest venomous land reptile on Earth.

That looks cool and I hope they do something like that, it would be the first time we get to see a water poison starter since the poison type was practically left behind in Generation 1 as a possible secondary typing for the starters.
