I didn’t even bother, esp with the new mechanics lol.
I did finally get my primal Groudon, and made the other kynerum… I’m free to play so it was a bit of a battle, but I hosted a bunch of raids during the week.
I did LOVe that we could get a lot of juicy legacy moves, I evolved about 40 mons I had waiting for those moves the Friday of the event.

mega4s have better boosts to xls than mega3s. the new mechanics were not that bad

Well the good thing is that the new mega raids mechanic will only be on special events. So hopefully when these megas return / some of the lesser new megas are released they will be in normal mega raids.
In the flip side though, you just know we’re 100% getting this new format for the mega mewtwo raids

Unpopular opinion: the new Link Charges mechanic is amazing!
1. You don’t need link charges to join in person super raids
2. You can substitute a raid pass for link charges for in person raids
Only downside is with remote raids.

Level 50 mega dragonite is the best dragon attacker with dragon breath/draco meteor moveset, while taking advantage of party power. Yes, it even outclasses (just barely) Mega Rayquaza

Dragonite besides the XL bonus at L4 is kind of neat for Mega Master League. 2 extra levels (maybe a 3rd with BB) can be cool for Dragon Breath breakpoints or such
It’s niche but IS a use case specific or unique to it vs the other Dragon/Flying XL boosts

I love Mega Malamars design… and then I checked it is nr.71 dark type attacker and nr.126 psychic type attacker, fkn Gorebyss outclasses a mega

Mega Malamar is literally the only mega that boosts psychic and dark at the same time… it would be worth getting even without the new mega level available lol
You really should use mega pokemon more, they give you a bunch of free candy
