New Eeveelutions, or new Eevee?

I could see the challenge Pokemon have with new Eeveelutions, with the vast amounts of merch that would suddenly be outdated, and the neat way 8 evolutions surround Eevee. Would you prefer it if they created a "new" Eevee, that would cover the remaining 9 types? Perhaps instead of the cat like look, they could be dogs, starting with a scrappy basic.
