After leaving the hobby as a kid, I came back 6 years ago and opened 3 Evolutions packs I got off the internet for 25 a piece. I pulled a mega Venasaur EX and was instantly hooked back in. Today, I have this modest graded collection, all graded myself.
The Sylveon Ex came out of a high roller mystery pack from Pokevault, and just came back from PSA. A true miracle it 10’d.
Amazingly (to me), the card that is most special is the least valuable of the three. The Rayquaza VMAX came out of an ETB I bought on my 35th birthday with my now-wife. Right after that, she took me to my surprise birthday party where I pulled it in front of a ton of people who I love, and who didn’t give a crap about Pokemon.
