Finished drawing my take on an evolution line for the new Pokemon Wind and Waves Grass Starter, Browt! Meet Kakapow and Cashewary, the Talon Pokemon! These Grass/Fighting Type Pokemon are inspired by two flightless birds, the kakapo (the world's largest parrot) and cassowary (a bird well-known for its large talons), as well as Garuda, a Hindu god known as the king of birds! Kakapow also has themes of the rimu fruit, which the kakapo is quite dependent on for food, while Cashewary is, as the name suggests, inspired by cashews!
In-game, Cashewary would be a powerful physical attacker, with decent physical bulk and speed. It would likely have Tough Claws as an ability, and employ lots of kick-based moves in battle!
