Paraut→Macavant
I wanted a pokemon with autism.
Paraut (parrot + autism)- is a pokemon with an anxious nature, it repeats words that it hears, much like how a child with autism does the scripting. For its lore (not in-game ability), I like to think that it chooses one particular habit to specialize in (drawing, playing an instrument, math, memorization, etc.)
Macavant (macaw + Savant)- when Paraut becomes an expert genius in a field it chooses. It gains godlike abilities in that one particular skill but fails in others. Its mask regulates its godlike abilities and make it “normal” like the rest. Once taken off, no one knows what wonders it can create.
I chose a parrot because I just learned that they are among the smartest birds.
