Me; Ok if I can memorize hundreds of pokemon, I should be able to memorize Kanji. Brain! Why arent we memorizing the Kanji?!

After Gold and silver, the first 251 Pokémon, they should have focused on improving gameplay experience only. At most, not more than 5 new Pokémon each gen. There are over 1000 now

千, the Japanese word for 1 thousand, is learned at grade 1 actually. The current number of Pokemon is 1025, which would be 一千ニ十五.

Also, Pokemon names are localized so if you were to compete with a Japanese person you’d get 0 points regardless.

I have section of my brain purely dedicated to remember Gen 1-4 Pokemon.
