Squield and Yuraturay

Post #1 didn’t get much traction, so for #2 I wanna reveal a personal favorite of mine. A line of ghost squids inspired by yield signs and traffic lights.

Squield (from “squid”, “yield”, and “squealed”) is a nervous little guy who tries to hide from any and everybody within urban environments. They are often found wrapped around metal poles, trying to mimic road signs

Yurayturay (from “Yurei”, “Ray” and all together sounds like “you’re later Ray” in reference to traffic jams causing tardiness) is an ambush predator, that hides in plan sight; hanging from overhead wires. If an unsuspecting trainer or Pokémon passes below, they are in for a bad day. Yuraturay on top of being inspired by squids, is also inspired by cloakers and beholders from DnD. The beholder inspiration comes in the form of the 3 different colored eye beams Yuraturay possesses; with each one having a signature move associated with it. Green (Acceleray) is a mid tier power move that increases the speed of all Pokémon on the field. Yellow (Decceleray) is a high power move that lowers the speed of all Pokémon on the field. Red (Halting Glance) is a low power move with an extremely high chance to flinch.

Let me know what you think of these mons, I have a bunch more locked an loaded as a part of my USA inspired Fakémon region
