I haven’t collected Pokemon cards since the early 00s and my favourite pokemon has been Lugia ever since it debuted in the 2000 movie. I picked up the English Neo Lugia at a convention in Birmingham (Memorabilia if anyone remembers it) around the time the set released and it was £20! I remember having so much post purchase regret even at like 10, 11 years old for spending my last £20 on a card.
I wish I could say I still had the card but sadly it got lost to time. But I recently found joy in the community again and decided to replace the card .. and that has kind of turned into trying to build a (mostly) complete set of Lugia cards, (excluding the insanely expensive ones!)
So I’ve started off this collection with the Japanese Neo Lugia , that’s in pretty good shape! And today have had delivered the very fitting White Edition Vault X Binder to slowly build the collection. I’m currently looking out for each language edition of the Neo genesis Lugia, and I’ll go from there!
TLDR: I’m starting a Lugia master set in a White Edition Vault X binder after 20ish years out of the hobby.
