Tried the demo. Performance is terrible.

This could very well also be a xenoblade multiverse type game

Performance wasn’t great in the demo but I heard there was a day 1 patch. Not holding out much hope but has anyone who bought the game noticed a difference in handheld mode?

I’m suprised Capcom didn’t try and optimize this game for Switch 2

It actually runs better on Stemdeck lol

wasn’t super impressed with the demo ngl

I always get a good laugh at the performance is terrible crowd. I played the demo and I have absolutely no idea what they mean by performance was terrible.

I hope it does well because it clearly had a lot of effort put into it. I was so excited for it and the story was so interesting but god, the demo showed me the combat system is awful. Every random battle lasting 3-5 mins is so boring. And there is no way to know which type of attack a monster uses, so it’s always guesswork. And hey! They can change their types mid-fight so you get to guess again! I’m all for complex combat but this was boring.

It really sucks because the world and story were so interesting. The monster collecting aspect sounds so fun to me as well, but it’s hidden behind a combat system that is trying to slow you down.

I get the feeling this game is going to underperform sales wise. Hope I’m wrong, but it feels like there’s little attention given to it.

Not picking this one up until there is a performance patch. The demo was just a little too unstable, to the point it was distracting for me. It’s a shame, because this game looks good and I think the S2 should be able to run this at a rock solid 30 fps (with good frame timing) and/or a solid 60fps with visual compromises.

I have been playing this for around 8 or so hours now on the switch 2, and I love it. Could the performance be better, yes, but it is not game breaking for me. The game is so fun and I like the characters and story so far. I do hope a performance patch comes out at some point in the near future though.
