I was reminded of the time Johnny Test parodied Pokémon in the S3,E4 “Johnny’mon” and the E23 sequel, “Return of Johnny’mon”

I haven’t watched Johnny Test in ages, but I remember the first of these two episodes so well. It aired back in 2007, and centered around Johnny + his talking dog getting isekaied into their favorite video game (Tiny’Mon). They had to face off against the famous Tiny’Mon trainer, Blast Ketchup, in order to return to the real world. Johnny got stuck with the most-useless Tiny’Mon in the entire game. And reminiscent of a Magikarp, it evolved into the rarest legendary Tiny’Mon after being treated with love and compassion (and getting its ass kicked).

The legendary in question, Screechereen, is a clear parody of Lugia. And I like how they use cubes to catch the Tiny’Mon instead of balls.
