Pokemon Go

Need Tips for a Returning Player

Hey I just recently got back into the game after a while and I wanna try to get better. I’ve been doing my quest and playing daily but i still feel behind my friends. What should i do? I also have no remote raid passes.

  1. Just keep catching guys and playing and over time it builds up resources to then continue to level up guys and become more competitive.

You can look at a site like this [https://www.dialgadex.com/?strongest&t=Any](https://www.dialgadex.com/?strongest&t=Any) to get a sense of which guys tend to be considered the strongest. Just sort by type and then scroll down to get a sense of which mons are more meta-relevant in each type and the appropriate moveset for whatever role you’re trying to fill. If you don’t have the best guys right away that’s ok – over time it adds up as you keep playing.

Make use of the free dynamax particles to build up some dynamax pokemon that can do double duty in regular raids. That can be a good/easy way to get high IV-mons using free resources and to try to build up candy relatively quickly.

You can make friends to exchange resources with (and to potentially invite to raids if you want to host something that is too hard for you to solo) through things like r/pokemongofriends and r/pokemongoraids. There are other apps like PokieGenie that people use to help do that and to just generally sort through their pokemon and get a sense of things like type-effectiveness and best counters against a given raid boss.

Just go at your own pace and have fun with it. If you have any specific questions let me know.
