"Blipbug, Dottler, and Orbeetle are debut Pokémon as part of the 'Bug Out' 2026 event in Pokémon Go.
"Gen 8 bug-type Blipbug – found as early as Route 1 in the mainline games Pokémon Sword and Shield it first appears in – is surprisingly limited on its Pokémon Go debut, where it can only be discovered in Raids and the event Go Pass.
"You can get Blipbug from three sources during the event:
- One-star raids
- Free reward in the 'Bug Out' Go Pass (rank 30)
- Deluxe reward in the 'Bug Out' Go Pass (rank 25)
"The free track of the 'Bug Out' Go Pass also sees five Blipbug Candy at rank 25.
"Getting Dottler and Orbeetle is straightforward – just evolve a Blipbug twice. This costs 125 Candy total (25 for Blipbug into Dottler, then 100 for Dottler into Orbeetle).
"However, where you might struggle during the 'Bug Out' 2026 is sourcing Candy, since you only get one free encounter in the Go Pass and Blipbug is otherwise locked behind Raids."
