Playing through alpha saphire recently and loved every minute so far, I play GO and was able to transfer a mudkip over to shield and he's my all time favourite powerhouse as his only weakness is a 4x grass.
I originally fell in love with him back in a offbrand game only a few may remember called brick bronze as he was OP then and it stuck then on. Mudkip is the cutest starter, marshtomp is derpy and finally swampert is a power house, his mega is the beefy boy.
I will die on this hill as saying MUDKIP IS THE BEST STARTER
