Hi there! I’m back with some more California-inspired Fakemon! This time I bring you some rough concepts I have for my starters for the region. I wanted all of them to be inspired by animals found in the greater California/Southwestern Americas region, specifically an animal from each biome of California. Each starter pulls their additional inspiration from pillars of California culture, as well as the tertiary theme of environmentalism and superheroes. I think they’re good individually, but I’m worried about their silhouettes and how they work as a group.
Grass – Channel Islands Fox, Forest biome, agriculture and wheat
Fire – Greater Roadrunner, Desert biome, mining, lighting and sparklers
Water – Leatherback Sea Turtle, Coast biome, anti-pollution purity
