Babbrell is a mono grass type baby barrel cactus, with a cactus flower on its head and cactus fruit for feets, of which it has three. It is very square and small and it leaks cactus juice from its mouth hole, making it look like it's drooling.
When evolved via a sunstone, it transforms into the grass/poison type Pricktapear, a prickly pear cactus (of which my real life grama grows in our backyard) that can use its poisonous cactus juice to fuel its attacks. Its cactus fruit have grown into arms on which it walks, and a new arm has sprouted from its side from the flower on its head.
When evolved via a moonstone, it transforms into the grass/ghost Silentotem, a ghoulish totem pole cactus who leaks cactus juice from its eyes as if it's crying. It loses its legs but gains the ability to levitate. In it's transformation it has become hunched over and sad, but its eerie nature has now made it unnaturally symetrical in its form.
At level 35, Pricktapear evolves into the tall saguaro cactus grass/poison type Standguaro, who has learned to condense its poisonous cactus juice into little slime balls and spits them from its mouth. Its shell is hollow as its inside body is made of pure cactus juice slime, and it moves around with its tiny little feetsies that peek out from inside its hollow frame.
At level 35, Silentotem evolves into the stout angry star cactus grass/ghost Vengepine, who has taken advantage of its ghostly new form and has learned to use its natural frightfulness to its advantage in battle. No longer does it have any juice in it at all, for its body is hollow to store all its ghostly energy.
also, for this region, both Vengepine and Standguaro get Mega evolutions :3
