I have the x background, go wild background, white background, I also got the ruby background and a bunch of com day backgrounds, I didn’t even though they were rare 😮
12:00 they have all been avalible for 3 days not 1 day. on saturday and sunday you could also catch them with those BG after 6 in the evening. same with the kyurem and all the others during that week
Most of the event backgrounds are really crappy.
For the regies i did the research multiple times and got evry shiny and background traded a few with a friend to complete hos regi collection
I got Shiny Blacephalon and Stakataka with Wormhole BG. ( Both are Glitched).

I think the wormhole, sun, and moon backgrounds will be back during Alola Tour of next year. I base this on the fact that they brought back the black and white backgrounds during this year's Road to Kalos event.

I have a shiny wild area background of Dialga, Groudon, and Toxtricity.
It might not be the rarest, but I LOVE my shiny shadow Ho-Oh with the Gold Version background. 💛 That and the Silver one are my favorites. Now Niantic/Scopely just needs to let us show off the backgrounds on our trainer profile.

The X and Y backgrounds weren’t exclusive to raids. I got a shiny Xerneas with a bgd from the ticket…
I have a shiny primal groudon with the GOWA 24 background
I was in Japan for the start of the Astronomical Observatory event, so I went to Sagamihara and got a few Clefairy with the background. It was only available through field research, and not in the wild. I tried for Lunatone/Solrock, but never managed to get any of those. Kinda hoping I can head back there for Lunatone & Solrock again. Maybe I'll have better luck in a different location.

Can someone tell me if the baseball stadium exclusive background Pikachus are considered rare? I know they come back every year for their respective baseball nights, but they are also some of the most exclusive considering that you gotta be at one specific stadium in the entire world to get that stadium's background

I just delete the special background if the Pokémon is not shiny or high IV.
You could have obtained the mega background outside of mega raids. I got my Lucario with mega background at the end of the Go Tour: Kalos – Global Go Pass
So my shiny Groudon with the GOWA 2024 background is pretty rare ?

Don't tell me that, I wanted to collect Gigantamax Shundos with Wild Area backgrounds but just trading a Toxtricity costs me up to $100
Guess the shiny wasn't even enough lately (because they aren't so special as it used to, sadly) so they added new gimmick (special background) as the new obsession to flex just like TCG rarity.
Exactly the reason why I dont collect backgrounds. Impossible to collect em all and it changes nothing to the pokemon itself. I agree that some backgrounds are beautiful, but a line has to be drawn somewhere in terms of collecting.
The Sun and Moon ones not the wormhole tho others for Solgaleo and Lunala were only avaivable for ticket homders, and only for either Solgaleo or Lunala depending on which you picked once you completed all the researchs so it must be the rarest ones.

I did one go wild area raid in 2024 at work for Groudon and got the shiny background. It was my first shiny legendary after like 80 legendary raids over the years. Glad to see my luck came at the right time.

Also of ALL the Shiny Pokémon I could've gotten from the 2024 Community Day wrap up event with the background I got a xxs Shiny Lucky Chansey with that background…
3:08 actually I think you forgot a background. It was a background that had black and white squares and it was also animated. In fact its the 2nd ever background that we got in 2025 even before Unova Tour!
I luckily have a Shiny Gardivor with that background and forgot what its called.
