I buy the odd pack with my toddler whenever they’re in stock at Target. He picked the pack we ripped (meowth because he likes cats) and I got this little guy. I’ve been back in the hobby about a year now and it is my first illustration pulled from a pack and it was my top chase for a cozy fall vibes page I’m putting together.
I’m never getting rid of him. My son loves Dedenne because he’s in this pokemon picture book (Pikachu’s Nighttime Adventure, it’s Dedenne, Pikachu, Eevee, Mimikyu and Gengar (who is his biggest fav because he loves ghosts and the color purple, obviously) on a, you guessed it, nighttime adventure). There was a good three month period we read it before bed every night (he’d cackle and go “GENGER SUCH A RASCAL!”).
Anyway it’s just super sentimental and I’m just so happy my first illustration pull was this particular card with my little dude. I can’t wait to pass it to him one day (assuming he gets into the hobby, lord knows I’m trying lol).
