I'm playing through Pokémon Moon for the second time, and this NPC in Iki Town uses female pronouns for their Rockruff.
Normally this wouldn't matter much in a video game, but this feels unique given Pokémon Company's reluctance to using gender pronouns for Pokémon in just about any media they're in, defaulting to calling them "it" or "partner". Even Pokémon we know the gender of like Pikachu in the anime or single-gender Pokémon like Snubull aren't acknowledged as their gender.
I know this doesn't matter much and it's something I normally wouldn't bother with, but it's something neat I noticed doesn't happen in Pokémon and wanted to talk about it. I wonder if there are other times Pokémon gender pronouns are acknowledged
