Pokémon Red and Blue were a staple to my childhood. My brother owned Red, while I owned Blue. I have great nostalgia for these games so I sometimes wonder if my enjoyment of them is blinded by some of the nostalgia that I feel.
As you can see by the title, I'm here wondering how you think these 2 Pokémon games have actually aged. Has anyone gone back and thought these were "meh". Or are there younger Pokémon enthusiasts that wanted to play them just to experience the originals?
Let me know about your opinions.
– How have they aged?
– Are they good?
– Are they bad?
– Are they just as good as any modern Pokémon game or RPG styled game?
– Which mechanics aged poorly and which ones didn't?
These are just some questions that could be considered when thinking about the game.
Also if you're interested in participating in an audio podcast episode about Pokémon Red / Blue let me know, I'm currently looking for a couple of guests.
Thanks again! I'm very interested in what y'all have to say about it these two classics!
