Disclaimer: I’m not much of a digital artist, but I wanted to take a stab at fixing my biggest pet-peeve regarding starter final evos, particularly in later gens: the legs.
I know we make a big deal about bipedal final stages, but I think what throws me off more than the bipedalism itself is how starters like Quaqaval and Inteleon’s legs look and move like a human in a suit, not an animal.
I recolored parts of other pokemon that I prefer to try and fix this on these 2D renders. Now (to me at least) Quaquaval looks like an actual bird, and Delphox and Inteleon look like they could more easily go between bipedal and quadrupedal (similar to Typhlosion). Let me know if you’d prefer this over the original designs.
