Pokemon Go

Wife has something strange we’ve never seen on her pokemon screen, what is it?

The green book looking things behind the drilbur and Hitmonlee randomly popped up for her this evening, she asked me what they were but I'm drawing a blank. Does anybody know?

It means those specific Pokémon read as their hobbies. They’re very smart.

Guessing they are dynamax and it is some kind of visual bug?

That’s the Paldea regional symbol. You can see it in the badges. No idea what it’s doing on those pokemon though.

  4. Pretty sure that’s one of the Pokédex icons (galar? Paldea? hisui?). Glitch just put them behind Pokemon

It’s most likely supposed to display something else, like an icon for “special background” or the glow for recently caught Pokémon, but the game glitched and showed you books instead. Restarting the game should fix it.

Is it just me or have the bugs have been increasingly rampant lately…?

Can you give us more information about those specific pokemon? Could be something in common that points to why it’s happening.

It’s a new classification “book worm” so they’re bug type as well

    Were those Pokemon caught today?

Usually Pokemon caught recently have a blue glow behind them. I’m curious if the game bugged and loaded the wrong sprite (as others have said, the Paldea badge sprite, or at least just the mask before applying the bronze/silver/gold/plat color).

  10. I really want the tiny buddy on map glitch to be reproduceable on demand.
