I’m a pretty casual collector. I’ve played the games since Red/Blue, but I’ve never gone too deep into the TCG side. My favourite Pokémon is Entei, and my dream card is the Entei from Neo Revelation (6/64). Hopefully I’ll own it one day.
I really like the idea of collecting small themed groups of cards that look good together when graded. A good example is the Crown Zenith special art trio of Raikou, Entei and Suicune. Same set, matching style, and they look great as a little display.
That’s the kind of thing I’m looking for:
- Cards from the same set
- Or artwork that clearly matches
- A trio or small group that feels intentional
- Not just random cards from different sets with totally different art styles
If anyone knows of other mini sets, trios, or little themed groups that people like to collect and grade, I’d love some suggestions.
