So I started collecting Pokémon cards back in high school when they were first released to the states! 99-00 and all the way to when I graduated high school. Had to put all my stuff into storage as my parents divorced and I didn’t have space for all my nerd stuff I’ve collected. Well cut to when my dad was dating someone new and when I returned to get my totes of all my cards, figures and gaming systems come to find out his gf threw it ALL AWAY to the dump. I was disheartened and pissed and lost interest in it after that. Today I see what I had for cards and their value and it brings back that hate as I could have fully paid for a new house to be built! But a good friend of mine has helped me find that spark of joy and love for ripping open packs and wondering what I might get! Though now there is a lot more to the rarities in learning. I ripped my first packs today and got lucky with a couple cards but also just am loving all the art styles of all these cards!!!! 🥰🥰😊
