What is the Chronology of the Games?

I'd like you to clarify something for me. For some time I've been trying to figure out how the timeline of the main pokémon games is structured.

From what I've been able to research, it seems the games are divided into two continuities/universes.

The first could be called the “Main Universe” (the first image); this continuity is characterized by the absence of the fairy type in the pokémon and the nonexistence of mega-evolution. It would consist of the following games, and this would be their chronological order:

  1. Pokémon: FireRed/LeafGreen | Pokémon: Emerald. (occur at the same time).

  2. Pokémon: HeartGold/SoulSilver.

  3. Pokémon: Platinum.

  4. Pokémon: Black/White.

  5. Pokémon: Black 2/White 2.

The second could be called the “Mega-Evolution and Fairy-Type Universe” (the second image); this continuity would be named as such because several pokémon possess the fairy type and the mega-evolution exists. It consists of the following games, and this would be their chronological order:

  1. Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

  2. Pokémon: Let's GO! Pikachu/Eevee.

  3. Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond/Shinning Pearl.

  4. Pokémon: Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.

  5. Pokémon: X/Y.

  6. Pokémon: Sun/Moon/UltraSun/UltraMoon.

  7. Pokémon: Sword/Shield.

  8. Pokémon: Scarlet/Violet.

  9. Pokémon Legends: ZA

In theory, this would be the chronology, or rather, the two continuities that the main games have so far. So, my question is, am I correct or not?

P.S.: In addition to this, I've also read that other pokémon games, such as the “Pokémon Ranger” series are canon within the main timeline, but where would they fit in? And what other games are also considered canon?
