  1. I started using Aerodactyl after one of your Live videos, and I've been very happy with it. It's a great counter to Sneasler.

  2. I genuinely hate this mon and garchomp like this two mf can only flinch first turn and 2nd turn but in the end game it suddenly know how to miss. Remove Rockslide

  3. When I was building my team in champions, I slotted in air slash over hurricane on mega dragonite when I noticed I was using my flying type move on relatively frail targets like Sneasler and Whimsicott constantly. Sneasler, Megazard Y, and Whimsicott felt like they were everywhere.

With that in mind, Aerodactyl rising makes perfect sense to me. It feels like the perfect response to what was honestly a very exploitable early metagame.

  4. I seen your video about it which you posted a week ago

I basically bring Aero 95% of my games it is just such a no brainer mon

  5. how do you see the statistics that show its regional wins and money made for a specific pokemon? what website is that

  6. I'm happy to see Aerodactyl thriving, even if it's only in this small metagame. Power creep kills everything eventually, it won't last, but I've always liked this mon and it's neat to see it winning.

  7. 11:30 "I've been running a team" then shows a team on screen and lists off mons not on it. I don't get why you couldn't get basic footage if you actually using the team for that part too

  8. question
if I fake out a slower fake out mon and the turn after uncore them in to trying it agine
will that work or will it fail cause there fake out never happend?

  9. Walling Mega Charizard Y certainly helps. Or at the very least, not crumpling instantly to heat wave and forcing it to click Solar Beam or Overheat. Assuming it survives the Rock Slide which it usually doesn't.

Makes sense Aerodactyl works so well in this format.

  10. This thing just invalidates like half of the available items, can set tailwind, is one of the fastest pokemon and has rock slide goes brrr. Really fun to use
Fun fact, with the release of Champions, Aerodactyl's ability rock head is useless, as it doesn't learn a single recoil move. Not even take down.

  11. Aerodactyl is def strong into the current meta, but I believe its boosted a lot by unoptimized EV spreads and it will start to decline as people start to explore more bulky builds. The team that recently topped #1 with bulky Mega Floette and Froslass modes highlights how Aerodactyl can struggle, since if you are willing to concede speed control (or force TR) aero simply isn't outputting enough damage to need to be addressed and falls into the same trap as other support mons of being ignorable

  12. I know Unnerve was bugged (not sure if it is anymore), something about mons with an ability that triggers on entry aren't affected by Unnerve?

  13. Love that they approach the game with less = more. Even though many do not like it, specially from hardcore VCG play.
I started using mega aerodactyl two days ago. Surprisingly good. Not because the mega is good, but because of what it does in a game. With 135 atk it becomes strong enough that the oponent can not ignore it for too long. It has a massive surprise factor, since few are running it. It still counters many current teams (e.g. the mentioned charizard). And because many insane pokemon (our mighty cat, sneasler, sinistcha) dont have any mega, it enables them by absorbing threat.
More of a gimmicky style to play it and at a higher rank probably not worth anymore to sacrifice your mega on it, but it catches a lot off guard and can manage in Masterball pretty well. Running the usual set: tail wind, protect, rock slide, dual wing beat. Managing your protects becomes a lot more important with that though and it struggles a lot against water based teams, which are usually rare though.

  14. Aerodactyl is genuinely carrying me through masterball tier. Tailwind, rock slide, dual wingbeat, and wide guard all day

  15. So where does Aerodactyl stack up in the premier ball meta??? This is a fantastic video though, 10/10 would rock slide again.

  16. This is why I roll my eyes at normies complaining about limited dex formats. Less power = more variety. Aero is a pretty good Tailwind mon when it only has to compete against Whimsicott and Talonflame; not so much when Tornadus is in the game.
