Why would it go down?



It’s been my buddy for like 80 days and I evolved it from a Honedge so I’m very confused as to why it would go DOWN after an evolution

: for context, I’ve only ever evolved my Pokémon for more combat power because I genuinely don’t know how else I’m supposed to play this game. Is it smarter to leave it as is or should I evolve it and have lower combat power?

    Because each pokemon has unique base stats that affect CP

    Attack has a much higher effect on CP than defense does, and aegislash loses some attack to gain defense and health

    Less attack. Cp is weighed more for attack. That form with less Cp is defense focused.
