This was one of the most intense trades I’ve ever done in Pokémon GO. With the new Forever Friends feature allowing remote trading, I decided to test it out with a friend… but I didn’t expect it to get this risky.
During the trade, my friend selected my ONLY shiny Dynamax Pokémon — instantly turning this into a high-stakes decision. I had to make it worth it, so I matched the trade by choosing his shiny Gigantamax Pokémon with a special background. At that point, there was no turning back.
We locked in the trade, and the result was an 89% IV Gigantamax Grimmsnarl. Definitely a solid outcome, but losing my only shiny Dynamax Pokémon made this one of the toughest trades I’ve done.
The new Forever Friends and remote trading system is changing how players trade in Pokémon GO, especially when it comes to rare shiny Pokémon, Dynamax, and Gigantamax trades. Moments like this show how important trust and decision-making are when trading rare Pokémon.
