All they had to do was apologize, admit they made a mistake, and most importantly – FIX the mistake (Firestar awarded championship), and then we can move on.
But PlayPokemon and their 'supposedly' infallible judges instead traded their legitimacy to hide their mistakes and bias.
Really have to wonder about the future of this scene when its leadership is so awful.

Nah this tournament let the community down big time. He was excited and hyped to win off a comeback and tossed his headset. Was never dangerous just out of passion and excitement. The fact they disqualified this player was ridiculous, cuz there was never any evidence or anything during the live footage. It's crazy. Imagine a competition where someone is passionate and competitive and you DQ him. Huge negative to pokemon and the tournaments they run
All I'm seeing is they're throwing the Pokemon Judges under the bus with that statement.

We team Eric Wang here. Justice for NiteTimeClasher(L). You didn't see him vibrating and fist pumping over his third championship that Firestar sullied with his undignified behavior. He was warned earlier, and disrespectful to his opponent. Celebrating before the match even ended in a distracting and rude manner. If he ignored the warning from a previous match, then he is GUILTY AS CHARGED

The politics of it all is… Poke, at the time you got stripped of your championship people of color were the target. Times have shifted, now the white males are the the targeted demographic of current day. I’m on old ass toys r us kid that ain’t growing up and see right thru all their Bullshit. Firestar won that shit fair and square. I seen it with my own lying eyes 👀
It's not surprising that they're not reversing the decision. The event is done. We have to look to the future and try to prevent future nonsense from happening. The only way that happens is if the community bands together. Boycott watching future gbl events, and boycott participating in future gbl events. We have to hurt them where it matters to them to get them to listen…their pockets. I understand trainers work hard to get the chance to compete in these events. It's a dream, and even a bigger one to win. But change doesn't come without sacrifice. Everyone rocks with firestar, but who's going to walk the walk? It's that or go along with the status quo and let them continue to get away with stuff like this.

So what I am hearing is, it was rigged and they got caught.
This type of stuff will not be forgotten and will escalate into me quitting, these devs have never been punched in the face, bunch of cowards doubling down on their cowardly decisions.
It's a shame. I watch every regional and have for a long time but after this, I'll be boycotting them for the forseeable future.
This is much easier to fix than hearusniantic- where you can just complain but nothing gets done because everyone still plays. There are a tiny number of tournament PvP players and i'm guessing its the same consistent players. It's not like if they dropped out, new players are suddenly gonna sign up, thinking they can win because the top regulars are no longer competing. If half the competitive field drops out- not like they're missing much, there is no tournament.
It's just a PR move at this point
