I have been working on my Cloud Island buildout and am currently at ~200 Pokémon. It has been tough to determine which Pokémon to put into a shared living space and which to leave it their native habitat plus their favorite items. This is of course a preference and will differ for everyone.
www.serebii.net has been extremely useful but I found it cumbersome to switch tabs and figure out which Pokémon to house together based on their favorites.
Users on this site built great Google Docs to help but I always wanted more from it.
I am far from done with this but wanted to at least share how far I got so far.
Although I have manually coded HTML before, I just don't have the time and used Claude for this.
On GitHub I did callout in the Readme and License file that I have borrowed and linked assets from Serebii.net so hopefully that covers it. I am not going to profit from this so you're welcome to download and change whatever you want.
I plan on making enhancements to it over time.
Tab one is called Lookup, just pick a Pokémon and see what they like.
Tab two is called Sharing Groups, this tells you which Pokémon can easily live together based on the exact same Habitat type (Bright, Warm, etc…) and their five favorites group which excludes food preferences.
Tab three is called Custom Groups, this is where I was struggling a lot, for example I want Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard in a house, but it was cumbersome to find out what they like. I am not quite yet done and want to do more with this tab. For example, these three Pokémon have 4/5 matches on favorites but differ in their last favorite which is Group activities, Rides and Luxury.
Now, let's take the Luxury bed for example and we can see that it covers Group activities and Luxury, which means that if you place that item then Charmander and Charizard can be covered by the same item but you need another extra item from Rides to cover Charmeleon.
If you want to download it, search for my username on GitHub or message me for the link. I cannot share the link here, the mods took it down due to self promotion. I messaged them but they said they do not allow projects which doesn't make sense as this is no different than a link to Google Docs.
Because of this tool, I now placed Tyrogue, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop in the same custom house and they are happy with an item from each category. I did prioritize furniture items to enable the house to be livable.
