Raids make money that’s all they see now £2 tickets for all the small fun events obviously ain’t worth th effort to them.. just will end up slowly stopping play bar Saturday till I can’t be bothered to pay to play on Saturdays and it will stop even took boosted shinys away so seems pointless hunting them now
The Power Spot, Spotlight, Showcase reduction seems odd. They would've helped fill the void of having limited events.
I think that Pokestop Tasks being better would help improve non-event gameplay greatly.

Maybe they haven't mentioned any spawns for the spring marathon event coz they have been mentioning less & less spawns for each week long event 😂 I hope that's the case 🤞🏼 but let's hope they aren't winding down Pokémon go to end up like Peridot which is closing its servers in August 😔

For events? Ill be real i dont care if a new shiny gets a debut or a new pokemon every event but just high chance for unqiue spawns for events often would be cool instead of 1 cool event then nothing, then 1 mid event then nothing. Like im bored and want to go out with my pokemon go friends but theres nothing for us to focus on.

I haven’t opened the game open for more than a couple minutes (sometimes going days without even opening it) the past few months – not even for Mimikyu after I found one on first open.

I heard that the person who tests the events before their release left the company and they are finding it extremely difficult to find someone with equal incompetence to fill their position. An event without bugs just wouldn't feel right.
It feels like they're A/B testing. Probably gauging player activity during heavy event and non-event times. It's a good time to do so, being right before go fest
I’m ok with the time off. I work and there was a point in time when I felt like I couldn’t get a break. I’m ok with it
There are usually worldwide featured spawns associated with each in-person event. I'm not too worried about those in-person Go Fests.
I get that older players (both age wise and game wise) are happy for less event stuff because it means more relaxation and family time yada yada but I don't quite think they realise that 3/4 weeks being absolutely NOTHING will NOT be the luxury they think it is. It will be incredibly boring with absolutely nothing to chase since wild spawns hardly give out shinies due to the nerf & generally the same mons spawning.
I'd MUCH rather have "too many" events and have stuff to miss out on, rather than have nothing at all. Like you can't seriously tell me you'd rather have nothing to do for 3 weeks straight rather than miss out on a few hours of a hatch event or new pokemon debut or raid day etc every day. We're always complaining about accessibility in this game but if we're being seemingly okay with 5/8 weeks in 2 months having a complete deadzone then what's the point?
(Final bit 😅) – I'm also seeing people say "Oh it's fine there's no events because GO Fest is at the end of the month!" – Well… yeah. That's great and all… but what about the 95% of us that won't attend a GO Fest event because we can't for varying reasons? Are we supposed to go 3 months without events?! 😅
All in all, it's just a ridiculous pathway set by Scopetic/Nianly whatever you wanna call them. ESPECIALLY in the months/season of Pokemon & Pokemon GO's big anniversaries

YOU are part of the problem too fella. Stop moaning about lack of events and think of your own content ideas like you used to have to do when we werent bombarded with 4 events in a week. Playerbase as a whole is far too entitled nowadays expecting everything given to them for nothong and i hate to say it, but creators are the worst for it 🤦.

It’s just stale now with barely any events I’m definitely playing a lot less than last year
While it's nice to only have 1 day being Saturday for events now, Sundays now are free. But sometimes I dont mind Sundays to play Pogo. For awhile back it was both Sat and Sun always having an event, and if we wanted to do other stuff over the weekend non pokemon go, it would be hard to impossible for FOMO. Ya. Spotlight hour removal sucks cuz was good way to get more candy…even tho a lot of time u could never get a shiny. But once in a blue moon I got a shiny in Spotlight hour. Didn't realize these research from pokestops are not guaranteed 1 specific pokemon and agree it sucks. Like getting Trubbish. Which is trash. Ha ha.
The warm-up for GoFest 26, in my opinion, is weak. Where's the Shadow Rayquaza raid day, the Galarian Bird Incense day, or anything like that before the 10-year anniversary? 😃
We could have some more mini events, like for two days with fairly interesting wild spawns and field researches to chase. I don't mean it as every single day every week, but to keep people interested throughout the week when there is no weeklong event. I am missing spotlight hours aswell. Spotlight hour tuesday, mini event wednesday-friday and a raid day/field research day/max battle day/hatch day etc as a 3-6 hour long event on a saturday or a sunday. We could also have costume pokemons as wild spawns more often when they are featured, not egg/research/raid locked. I would like to get the legendaries back aswell in weekly research boxes. Taking away the one single guaranteed background legendary was not the move either, I was always waiting for that encounter, was so excited to get the shiny Moltres as shiny with BG. Raid rotation needs to change aswell, we don't need the same legendary 3-5 times yearly. I think these are some fair ideas.
