Gigantamax Raid Day was super easy in Pokemon GO. I got shiny Charizard and Gengar #pokemongo #pogo

Gigantamax Raid Day in Pokémon GO (April 25, 2026) is DONE, and this was one of the most surprising events we’ve seen in a long time. In this video, I recap my full experience grinding the Replay: GO Bigger event, where Gigantamax Gengar, Gigantamax Charizard, Gigantamax Blastoise, and Gigantamax Venusaur returned for a limited 3-hour window from 2 PM to 5 PM local time.

We managed to complete 25 Gigantamax raids during the event, taking full advantage of boosted Max Particles, increased Power Spot activity, and constant Gigantamax spawns. One of the biggest takeaways from this Pokémon GO event is just how EASY these Gigantamax Max Battles actually were. With around 40 trainers in most lobbies, bosses were defeated in as little as 20 seconds, making this one of the fastest raid grinds in Pokémon GO history. Even when group sizes dropped to around 11 players in the final hour, raids were still being completed in under a minute, showing how accessible and manageable these battles were for most players.

In terms of rewards, I was able to get two shiny Gigantamax Pokémon — Gigantamax Charizard and Gigantamax Gengar — which were definitely the highlight of the event. However, most of the non-shiny Pokémon had fairly average IVs, which might be a common experience for many trainers grinding this event heavily. This raises interesting discussion around shiny rates, IV odds, and overall reward value during Gigantamax events in Pokémon GO.

This event also featured several key bonuses including increased Max Particle collection limits, 8x Max Particles from Power Spots, more frequent Power Spot refreshes, and increased Remote Raid limits. Players were also able to complete multiple Special Trades during the day, making it an ideal time to trade for rare or high IV Pokémon.

Overall, this Gigantamax Raid Day recap covers everything you need to know about the event including raid difficulty, best strategies, shiny results, IV outcomes, and whether the event was worth grinding. If you’re looking for Pokémon GO gameplay, Gigantamax raid guides, shiny hunting results, or event breakdowns, this video has it all.

  1. I’m not able to do it because of my location 😢 I’m gonna miss out on my favorite gigantimax

  2. Only did a couple in person because of getting people to do them is hard. Not many people play in the town I’m in.

  3. every time this happens, they be talking about how gigantic trades are happening at every power spot. I'VE NEVER EVEN SEEN ONE where the fuck are they?

  4. My first gigantamax event where I was actually able to catch the pokemon (before that I was able to defeat G-raids, but wasn't able to catch it). We had more than 100 people meet up (campfire) and destroy the max raids around the city. It was amazing. My first ever was a Shiny Gengar (the only shiny). In total I got 3 Gengars, 2 Charizards, 1 blastoise and 1 Venusaur.
