Shiny mega Zygarde is coming out in the anime May 1st. We can dream of it coming to raids/dynamax too but that's for another time.
It's the perfect excuse to drop the shiny…and then in 4 years after the rotations of different special moves maybe we will also get the mega!

Maybe. But Nopely couldn’t even give us a second Zygarde for the Tour, so I’m not necessarily optimistic

When was the last time pokemon go had an anime tie in? Armored Mewtwo and clone starters? The main series dropped shiny Rayquaza when Horizons did the “raid” battle against it. A main series tie in is more likely.
I just got my Zygarde to final form last week, so great time to start collecting cells for the next one!

Me and a couple friends feel like shiny Zygarde could be the first masterwork legendary not a mythical class. Due to the way it’s been handled in go. I wonder does anyone else feel like this could be the case?
Kalos tour was the perfect chance to release Zygarde in raids or at least a shiny Zygarde research. But they didn’t do either. They haven’t even released any of its many signature moves
Shiny Zygarde’s been out in the anime for about a year now.
Between shiny on the anime and Kalos tour being the perfect time to release it (and then nothing), at this point I feel like they’re going to hold onto it for awhile. I feel like they know they are running out of guys to release and like Mega Mewtwo they’re going to take their sweet time releasing them in Go.
My full tinfoil hat is that with Wild Area already setting the precedent for the headliner just being a non legendary, and then Kalos tour highlighting Victreebell, Malamar, and Dragonite (I know they’re new ZA megas but it feels like a flimsy excuse for the headliner raids for a Tour event (especially when Zygarde was right there)).
I get the feeling they were testing the waters to see how much they could stretch this concept. Like normally at this point I would’ve assumed either shiny Solg/Lunala or Ultra Necrozma for Alola tour next year. But at this point my expectations are like, maybe mega Drampa is the best I can hope for.
I thought about it as well and I was trying to figure out when they could drop it and maybe a wild area event at the end of the year (and maybe like last year a pre-release at the World Championships)
They also had the perfect opportunity to drop Arceus, but here we are.
We waiting this long for the Mega Mewtwo’s, I’m not getting my hopes up.

They’re probably dropping Mega Zeraora this year at Go fest.
You could have said this about when they first showed shiny zygarde in Horizons, too. So imo just as unlikely now as it was then.
I remember when Legends: Arceus came out and I thought for sure they are going to add Arceus to Go now. That didn’t happen either.
At this point im at 215 cells and haven’t evolved my regular Zygarde, im thinking I might as well hold off till the shiny drops at some point
