In Android go to apps -> pogo and delete the cache. You should be fine afterwards!

Same thing happened to my buddy. Just click the ball on the bottom right pick one and throw it like you’re on the catch screen and it’ll catch it and go away.

I exited and re-entered the encounter, and it was normal afterwards.
