My daughter recently became obsessed with Pokemon and Pokemon Go, and I’ve got an obsessive/compulsive optimisation streak. I wanted her to be able to progress quickly so she could capture the special pokemon she wanted. I decided to buy an autocatcher so I could be catching for her while I’m out walking the dog. I bought one of the dual account ones so I could have an account for myself so I could help her with raids. My plan was to just set it and forget it as I walk.
We’ve been playing for less than a month, and I’ve only had the autocatcher for a few days, and when I checked it after the walk yesterday I saw I’d captured Galarian Articuno. I’m still getting my head around what are considered the best/rarest catches in Pokemon Go, but from my research online I’m gathering that I was very lucky.
Unfortunately it was captured on my account, not hers, so I have the following questions:
What is the best way of trading it over to her? Do I have to wait until we become Best Friends?
Is it worth using a lucky trinket so she gets it as a lucky Pokemon when it’s traded back over?
What should she trade back? Does it matter if it’s just a random zubat or something? I’m not bothered about having anything good on my account, I just want her to be happy. But is there something that she would have as a new player that might help with raids?
Exactly how lucky was I?
